Jason Watson, MD
Medical Command

Emergency Dept.

Dr. Jason L. Watson MD was born and raised in Northeast Ohio. He is the middle child with two sisters, a son of two elementary school teachers. He was raised in an atmosphere of academic importance, and after graduating valedictorian from an Akron area high school in 1993, he attended The University of Toledo in Northwest Ohio.

There he received his degree, majoring in Biology and Chemistry, minoring in Anthropology. There he also met his future wife, Gloria. Following his graduating magna cum laude from the University of Toledo in 1997, Jason married Gloria. He was also accepted to the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo and matriculated there immediately after graduating with his undergraduate degree.

After medical school, Dr. Watson left the state of Ohio with his wife and infant son to complete a residency in North Carolina. He finished his residency serving as Chief Resident his last year of training. During residency, he worked independently at emergency departments in North and South Carolina for extra experience. Following his residency graduation, Dr. Watson stayed in North Carolina, continuing to work at several facilities in North and South Carolina. His second child, a daughter was born that same year, in 2005.After several years of living and practicing in the Tar-heel State, Dr. Watson and his family felt the call of home
and their Midwest roots. They moved back to the buckeye state in 2009, settling between Akron and Cleveland in the town of Hudson. He began working for University Emergency Specialists at University Hospitals Emergency Department locations in Twinsburg, Bedford, Chardon (Geauga), Richmond, and Geneva. In 2015, Dr. Watson switched jobs when he was hired by The Cleveland Clinic Foundation and began working in the Emergency Department at The Cleveland
Clinic's Euclid Hospital. At Euclid Hospital, Dr. Watson has not only worked as a full-time ED physician, but he has assumed the role of EMS director for the Euclid Fire Department.

Dr. Watson has both pride and contentment with his role as physician and EMS director, but he has many other loves and passions. He loves his wife, his 16-year-old son, his 12-year-old daughter, and his three dogs. He loves hiking, backpacking, and traveling with his family and dogs. They all look forward to their regular trips to the beach and the mountains. His family also enjoys the theater with both of his children regularly acting in school and local productions. They also love their monthly visits to the Playhouse Square in Cleveland. Dr. Watson also loves the performing arts. He has studied music of some kind from grade school, through high school and even played in a rock band in college and medical school. He can play keyed instruments, stringed instruments, and some percussion, but he really prefers his guitar and his mandolin when he actually (and rarely) has free time to play.
